CoD2 was fairly similar, CoD4 however isn't. In CoD you could join a server and do exactly the same things as you would in a match. The Call of Duty 4 (CoD4) community is in a state of flux with the European summer LAN's lingering dangerously on the horizon and the rejection of Clanbase and its Eurocup recently, you'd be forgiven for thinking that CoD4 has started to stagnate, a community waiting for something to happen.
